A new year, a new blogging effort....

How many posts like this have been written so far this year?

But the reality is that blogging has become a part of who a PR person needs to be - we cannot sell or advise on what we have not experienced ourselves. I've made my call early that the digital changes due in 2010 really will be pivotal not just to PRs, but to the media landscape in general. Not for the early adopters - but for the clients, contacts, businesspeople, conference organisers, journalists, graduates and everyone in between that makes the PR industry work. We are part of the same chain, and the rise and fall of traditional media, the shift from print to online, effects us all.

Anyway, this is where I will endevour to write and discuss and share aspects of the digital and technology landscape that I find noteworthy, important, or just fun. Anyone after a fix of things that are not related to work but still from me can always find me on Flickr, Tumblr and Twitter. But don't bother with Facebook as there really aren't enough hours in the day :-)
